Camino Tip 27: Take along paracord

Camino Tips 27There are many uses for paracord. On the Camino, you may use it  primarily for drying clothes. When the albergue‘s clotheslines or drying racks are full, a length of paracord assures a place for drying your belongings. Often pensions or hostels do not offer laundry service or a place to wash clothes; you can wash a few articles in the shower or sink, and then hang it to dry.

Other uses for paracord include:

  • Fix a backpack
  • Tie things to the backpack
  • Tourniquet
  • Arm sling
  • Shoelace
  • Belt
  • Sewing and mending
